You can access many Windows features and functions from the keyboard by using a combination of keystrokes. These combinations are called hot keys, accelerator keys, or short-cut keys.

In various help topics, the keys you should press appear within angle brackets (< >) and a plus sign ("+") connects keys that you should press together. For example, "press <Alt> + <x>" is the same as "hold down the Alt key then press the x key".
