Navigation:  Select - Create Data Folder > Create Folders

If you have logged into a User Account and there is no sample data and menu as displayed in the Select - Create Data folder help topic, you will need to create a valid data folder selection using the following instructions.

At this window, click on the Create Folders button.

At this window, click on the Create Product Scope 7 Data Folders button.

Then, click on the New button.

If you wanted to create a menu selection for the Example data, you could simply copy and paste the following into the record.

Data Folder Location:

Vista and Windows 7 location -

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Encourager Software\Product Scope 7\Example Data

Pre-Vista Location

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Encourager Software\Product Scope 7\Example Data

Product Scope 7 - Example Data

OR

Data Folder Location: At the Data Folder Location field, you can type in a path or Click on the Choose Path dialog button.

If you type the path, the following are invalid characters and cannot be used.

\ / : * ? " < > |

If the path you type does not exist, you will see this dialog:

Click on the Yes button and the program will create the folder for you.

If you are adding an existing folder location, navigate through the folder tree until you select the folder you want, then click the OK button.

 

Additional information on adding, modifying or deleting Data Folder records

- Add a new data folder or choose an existing data folder to add to Select - Create Data Folder Browse.

- Modify an existing Data Folder Description and/or add a new data folder or choose an existing data folder to current highlighted data folder selection in Select - Create Data Folder Browse. Modifying a data folder location record does NOT modify the actual data folder name.

- Only deletes the Data Folder Description and Data Folder Location reference - This button DOES NOT delete the actual data folder!

- Click on Yes button if you want to delete the Data Folder Description and Data Folder Location reference -  Clicking on the Yes button DOES NOT delete the actual data folder!

After using Create Folders program, close the program, at the Product Scope 7 - Select Data Folder, you will need to refresh the window to see the added menu selection - click on the browse, so that it is highlighted - press your backspace key - this will refresh the window, and the newly added menu selection should appear.
