Note: The Following information refers to Previous versions of Product Scope 7 - Product Scope 7.5 or previous 7.x versions.
The Select Data Folder or Select - Create Data Folder (Path Management) window is a very powerful feature enabling you to easily view and create data in multiple folders. This also simplifies backing up data as well.
You can store the data created with Product Scope 7 in any data folder you choose, but you might want to consider keeping all your data folders in a more centralized location, such as the following:

This will help you with software backups.
Normally, a backup program has some sort of recurse sub folders feature - Save all the files in this folder (My Projects) and all of it sub folders.
Product Scope 7 is stored in the following files.
Files Stored In Data folders include:
Lookup.TPS - Product Category, Vendor Category, DL File Description
Products.TPS - Product data
Queries.TPS - Query data
Sflquery.TPS - QBE data
Vendors.TPS - Vendor data
Recommendation: Back up ALL files in the data folders - this could include images, spreadsheets, word processing documents, etc.
Program Install Folder - Minimally - Backup all data files with the wildcards, *.TPS and *.INI - (recommended - Backup all files)
Note: paths.tps is stored in the same folder as the Product Scope 7 program file (ps32.exe). If you chose the default install folder, this would be:
C:\Encourager Software\PS7PRO\
Files Stored In Installation folder include:
Paths.TPS - Path Management data
The path information stored in paths.tps is displayed in the Select Data Folder or Select - Create Data Folder (Path Management) window.
This is a VERY important file to backup since it is a guide to all the data you have created with Product Scope 7.
It provides the guide (at the Select Data Folder or Select - Create Data Folder windows) to display the data file folders.
IF the paths.tps was accidentally deleted, the data folders are still available - but the guide for Product Scope 7 to point to the data folders is not available - that guide (paths.tps) could be recreated, but might be time consuming - backing up this file is very important.
Note: As a precaution, always backup this file - paths.tps - before installing (a new program upgrade) or reinstalling the program.
Currency.TPS - Product Price ISO 4217 Currency Codes
FSPS.TPS - File Search
RWReport.TPS - Custom Reports
SwSSheet.TPS - Spreadsheet Layout data
Upg.TPS - Upgrade data
Missing or corrupt Upg.TPS - Cannot upgrade previous data created with these versions of Product Scope 32 Bookmarks or Product Scope 32 PRO or Product Scope 7.
Userview.TPS - View Browse data
