Product Scope 32 PRO, Version 5 users

Note: The Following information refers to Product Scope 7.8 OR newer.

Product Scope 32 PRO, Version 5 users:

Product Scope 7 converts the data files so they can no longer be used with the Product Scope 32 PRO, version 5 program.

And Product Scope 7 has a different feature set than version 5 - there is no longer an Import-Export program - If you would still like to have Product Scope 7 convert your version 5 files - then proceed as follows:

You must copy or move paths.tps from the Product Scope 32 PRO, Version 5 install folder to the user account folder for Product Scope 7.

By default, the install folder for Product Scope 32 PRO, Version 5 is:

C:\Program Files\PS32 PRO

You would copy or move paths.tps to one of your user accounts:

For example - for the User Account - Sales

Vista

C:\Users\Sales\Documents\Encourager Software\Product Scope 7

Pre-Vista

C:\Documents and Settings\Sales\My Documents\Encourager Software\Product Scope 7

However, you may have installed Product Scope 32 PRO, Version 5 to a different folder - copy or move paths.tps from that folder to your user account folder.

As Product Scope 7 accesses your previous data, it will convert it to the new Product Scope 7 data format.

Note: This is a one time conversion - previous versions of Product Scope 32 PRO cannot access the files once they are converted.

Product Scope 7 Conversions

When a future Product Scope 7 update contains changes to the data file format - you will see conversion displays similar to the one above as well.
