The Spreadsheet Destination Dialog allows the user to select three different file formats for the destination spreadsheet file. Optionally the user may edit or view the results in the spreadsheet designer prior to saving the file.
Edit or View the Results
This option will invoke the Excel Workbook Designer (spreadsheet editor). The spreadsheet may be modified and saved or simply viewed or printed.
Launch the Associated Application
If the user has installed software for editing (or viewing) the saved file format, this option will invoke that software and load the new file for editing (or viewing).
Select - Edit or View the Results - the output is sent to a spreadsheet that is not saved.
Named Output
Select Excel Spreadsheet, HTML Document, or ASCII Export, and it is saved to a named file - Products or Vendors - each have a default filename (dBase III is NOT available).
You can optionally Launch the Associated Application as well.
The default filenames for Products are as follows:
products.xls - products.htm - products.csv
The default filenames for Vendors are as follows:
vendors.xls - vendors.htm - vendors.csv
It is saved by default to the your current data folder, unless you redirect to another Folder. This is illustrated in the following screen shots.
You can change this default name at the Destination File Name prompt or in the Save As prompt location as well.
Redirect to a different data folder (and/or change filename) - click on Browse

At this window - Navigate to a different data Folder - and/or rename File name:

Accept default name or change the File name: - Click Save button.
Existing Filename - Confirm if you want to replace it.

Processing Records window before Spreadsheet display

Saved Spreadsheet is displayed (IF you chose to launch the application)

Suggestion on saving spreadsheets!
When you save and launch a spreadsheet report - save the spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel. The saved format produced by Product Scope 7 might display a warning when reopened in Excel. Saving the spreadsheet in Excel at least once will avoid this warning.
If working with Excel 2007, save in one of the following formats as desired.
