To add even more flexibility for multiple accounts, Product Scope 7 is now based on user accounts.
Note: If you using a singular user account for most of your computer work, this help topic will contain detailed explanations that will still apply to your computer use, even if it's for a single user account.

User accounts can very flexibly be based on business structures, families, hobbies, etc
How Product Scope handles the data:
Data Folders (these appear on the Select Data Folder or Select - Create Data Folder windows)
Inside each data folder, Product Scope 7 is stored in the following files:
Product data (products.tps), Vendor data (vendors.tps), Query data (queries.tps), QBE data (sflquery.tps), Lookup data (lookup.tps) such as Product category, Vendor Category, and product download description.
Data folders can include images, spreadsheets, word processing documents, etc.
Tip: A data folder could be shared between User Accounts very easily, particularly if it's located in the Public documents area:
This is illustrated in the example data location for Product Scope 7
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Encourager Software\Product Scope 7\Example Data
or
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Encourager Software\Product Scope 7\Example Data
Guide file called Paths.tps
Each User account contains a guide file called Paths.tps - It provides the guide (at the Select Data Folder or Select - Create Data Folder windows) to display the data file folders.
also, additional application wide files such as File Search, Custom Reports, Spreadsheet Layouts, and User View for browses apply to each user account as well.
Here is a graphic illustration of how a user account controls Product Scope Data:

User Account - Product Scope 7 Application Data Files include:
Paths.TPS - Path Management data
The path information stored in paths.tps is displayed in the Select Data Folder or Select - Create Data Folder (Path Management) window.
This is a VERY important file to backup since it is a guide to all the data you have created with Product Scope 7.
It provides the guide (at the Select Data Folder or Select - Create Data Folder windows) to display the data file folders.
IF the paths.tps was accidentally deleted, the data folders are still available - but the guide for Product Scope 7 to point to the data folders is not available - that guide (paths.tps) could be recreated, but might be time consuming - backing up this file is very important.
Note: As a precaution, always backup this file - paths.tps - before installing (a new program upgrade) or reinstalling the program.
FSPS.TPS - File Search
RWReport.TPS - Custom Reports
SwSSheet.TPS - Spreadsheet Layout data
Userview.TPS - View Browse data
